Cool Green Bags
I know I'm behind, way behind, but I've finally bought reusable shopping bags. I've been meaning to do it for months, but every time I went on a site to buy some, I was so overwhelmed by the choices that I gave up or put it off. And I didn't want to buy the rinky-dink bags they sell at Target or the grocery store, because who wants to use a Target bag anywhere but Target. Plus, they're tiny and not at all attractive, and I'm one of those people who believes everything should be a statement of your style. So I waited. And then I discovered baggubag.com. Bright, chic, simple bags made of ripstop nylon that hold 2-3 times the amount of regular plastic grocery bags. I bought ten, in a rainbow of solid colors ranging from Hot Pink to Electric Poppy, for $6.50 each (they start at $8, but the more you buy the more you save). Each comes in its own little pouch. I used them for the first time today, and, scanning my cart full of brightly colored bags, I was stopped several times by people curious about the bags. And it's the first time in a very long time that I didn't feel guilty after a trip to the grocery store.
